Well, I finally finished the painting I was working on.  I spent a lot of time fine tuning the colors and the juxtaposing of colors.  I was struggling a bit with the color of the flowers below the boat.  I finally decided to just let it be and leave it at the point you see.  I had tried various colors and color combos.

Another thought popped into my head as I was considering subjects and genres.  I've always felt that regardless of the subject (nudes, still life's, landscapes, etc.), that it really comes down to playing with shapes and colors, composition, lines, etc.  So, my landscapes are really a springboard into creating (and playing and expressing).

I wonder where my painting will lead me, in terms of evolving.  It's like going down a path exploring the new and unknown, internalizing that experience, and then expressing your interpretation of it.  But, I wonder how my perosnal 'style' will evolve.

I hope everyone stays safe during these trying times.  May everyone stay well.
