I've been working on a new painting. This is an in-progress photo, and not a finished painting. I think I'm about 70% or so done. I need to resolve the pink flower area below the boat, refine the boat details, plus many other areas as well. You probably know by now, that I love playing with the juxtaposition of colors. I already have a couple of ideas for new paintings, and I feel eager to start on those as well. One night before falling asleep, I visualized a painting (I often do this). I saw/created one that had a lot of black or dark areas, a forest at night, with a brightly lit area of the forest, showing green trees or bushes and framed by the darker area of the forest. Yesterday, I tried to sketch out what I had envisioned and came up with a different result (composition), so, now, I have two possible ideas for paintings.
