Here’s the 4th phase. I decided I had too much pink, so I changed
part of it to a olive green. Here I
began to add warm accents to the bottom part of the painting. I also began to ‘build up’ layers of paint so
it doesn’t look like an underpainting.
I’m continuing to play with color all the time, changing and re-changing
colors to try and get something that works.
Actually, this is a really fun part.
I just love playing with colors and seeing what they can do. Maybe it’s adding cool strokes within a warm
area, or adding some orange to a blue area.
It’s a process of discovery.
